And it wouldn’t be dinner theatre without the dinner! The chef at Nirvana

Starlight Productions is gearing up for one of our biggest nights so far – performing our original Murder Mystery, NirVana Clubhouse Murders at the NirVana club in Fort Myers, Florida.
How far would you go to get what you want? For money, fame and love, they’ll cheat, lie and manipulate. The clubhouse manager holds the keys to make any of their dreams come true, but which one of our skillful suspects is willing to risk it all to get what they want? As the twists and turns mix with laughter and surprises, can you figure out whodunit before another unwilling accomplice is done in?
Find out when you get your shot in “Nirvana Clubhouse Murders,” the latest interactive comedy murder mystery from Starlight Productions. Presented with a a meal and full bar service by NirVana, 9101 College Parkway, Fort Myers, FL (239) 277-9101
Starlight Productions is known for their extremely funny, well-produced Comical Murder Mysteries and NirVana is known for the finest Indian Fusion food in Southwest Florida.
Don’t spend $60+ to be trapped on a “dinner theatre” train, possibly getting seasick, using a closet for a bathroom, unable to smoke and limited to 3 entrees that never seem to change and take forever to arrive at your table.
Come to a real theatre stage, enjoy a buffet of several Indian Fusion foods, and if you need to step out for a smoke or to use the facilities, there’s plenty of time between the acts. Plus a full bar, only a few feet away – no waiting forever for your food or alcohol. And the cost is only $40.00 per person – a very reasonable cost for an unforgettable date.
Seating is limited, so we highly recommend reservations for this event. It may sell-out, so please call James at 239-277-9101 to reserve your spot now!
“NirVana Clubhouse Murders” is an interactive comedy murder mystery written and directed by Marty Wisher and presented exclusively by Starlight Productions for NirVana.

Grandpa Henry & Gordo
Starlight Productions was hopping this week!
Things kicked off on Friday, December 4th, as Starlight Productions’ Paul Rose Jr. and John Nicolette performed two back to back Compassionate Christmas FamJam shows as Grandpa Henry and Gordo at Cape Christian Fellowship.

2009 Holiday Cast
Then, on Thursday, December 10th, Jenny Sonneman, Caleb Williams and John Nicolette joined Paul A. Rose Jr, Teresa Cobb & Marty Wisher “on stage” as we entertained potential new residents at Gulf Coast Village with “A Holiday Recipe for Murder,” written by Marty Wisher.
On Friday, December 11th, we spent a few hours celebrating in Perkins at the United Film & Television Artist (UFTA)’s annual Christmas Party, where Starlight Productions’ own Paul Rose Jr. was elected as President of the UFTA organization for the upcoming year. Paul plans to work with the Board to make UFTA an even stronger, more relevant organization for members associated with the Television and Film Arts.
On Saturday, December 12th, Paul Rose Jr. and John Nicolette returned to Cape Christian Fellowship, reprising their FamJam roles and performing four shows back to back at Cape Christian Fellowship that were each followed by food and gifts for needy families and kids – one show was just for special needs kids in Cape Coral.

Bo Peep Entertains
And finally, Saturday evening, the cast of “Holiday Recipe for Murder” was reassembled to perform at a private Christmas party for some of Cape Coral’s prominent citizens.
Please take a moment to enjoy the gallery, which includes many photos of the various events we participated in! (FamJam & Compassion Party photos courtesy of Reverend Dennis Gingerich of Cape Christian Fellowship.)

Marty Wisher as Marilyn Monroe
Starlight Productions provided special entertainment for Gulf Coast Village residents and their guests this week as part of their social calendar. The retirement lifestyles community hosted a 50′s-style soc hop, complete with a soda stand, classic cars, tunes from the live band, The Magic Moments, and of course, classic celebrity impersonators from Starlight Productions!

Ryan Sharp as Elvis Presley
Marty Wisher once again played Marilyn Monroe at the height of her popularity and Ryan Sharp stepped in to play the young Elvis Presley. The residents were thrilled with Marilyn and Elvis, getting pictures, chatting with them and dancing with them all afternoon long.
Starlight Productions will return to Gulf Coast Village in December, performing their Christmas murder mystery, A Holiday Recipe for Murder for prospective clients.

And our own Marty Wisher was interviewed for the online newspaper, The Examiner, about “Light,” Starlight Productions, and her work as an actor. Check out the article, along with a few others about acting in Southwest Florida from former United Film & Television Artists President Deb Ford.

A little worried here...
Fresh on the heels of their success at the Cape Movie Magic Event, Starlight Productions returns to the Santa Barbara Clubhouse Sports Grill & Bar for another fun evening of interactive humorous murder mystery.
On March 21, 2009, Starlight Productions presents their original humorous murder mystery show, “The Clubhouse Murder,” for the patrons of the Santa Barbara Clubhouse.
How far would you go to get what you want? For money, fame and love, they’ll cheat, lie and manipulate. If the clubhouse manager holds the keys to make any of their dreams come true, which one of our skillful suspects is willing to risk it all to get what they want? As the twists and turns mix with laughter and surprises, can you figure out whodunit before another unwitting accomplice is done in?
Join us at the Santa Barbara Clubhouse Grill & Bar on March 21st at 6:30pm. They’ve lowered the price this month to $40.00 per person. The Clubhouse is at 2114 Santa Barbara Blvd., Cape Coral, FL, near Cape High. Call 239-574-7050 for reservations and directions.

Wow, what a busy week.
We finished the last of the principal photography for Light earlier this week at a really nice locally-owned pizza parlor I Rigazzi Pizza on Hancock Bridge. Christian and Danny were excellent as usual. UFTA President Al Quinn was perfect as the grumpy, Italian Pizza Parlor owner – some fine acting there. And we had the opportunity to bring Christian and Danny’s real life mothers, Angie and Susan into the background, along with our good friend, Deborah Ford, who was nice enough to let us borrow her camera for the shots below. (with a couple of extra shots from Sue’s phone) And they even let us eat the pizza!
Now we shift gears into promotion and post-production. We will be putting the final touches on Marty’s favorite, the one character not yet seen on film, then some second unit work and editing, editing, editing. Marty’s already working on ideas for the sequel. We’ll keep everyone updated on the progress of promoting the film as things happen.
Meanwhile, we’re putting the finishing touches on our project for Cape Movie Magic. Stop by this free concert with local high schools and the Gulf Coast Symphony, playing for the first time in Cape Coral, February 28th, from 11am on at Cultural Park, near City Hall. Stop by, listen to the music and get your picture taken with one of our movie impersonators:
- Indiana Jones
- Queen Amidala
- Captain Jack Sparrow
- Eragon
- Willy Wonka
- Star Wars Stormtrooper
- Galadriel, from Lord of the Rings
We’ve also heard rumors that some of the fine men of the Fighting 501st will be joining us for the event.
And we have a second date set for our Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre at the Santa Barbara Clubhouse. Mark your calendars for March 21, when we perform “Clubhouse Murders.” More details to come.
In the meantime, enjoy the photos of our fun at I Rigazzi.
