Thursday, January 8th, 2009Light resumed shooting on Sunday, January 4th, back on set at Mr. Tim’s house for everything we didn’t get shot the last time. A lot of hard work and a little bit of fun, as usual. A special thank you to Director Marty Wisher and Susan Rawley (also known as Danny’s mom) for the photos, since producer Paul Rose was busy with his sister’s wedding in Fort Lauderdale and couldn’t make it.

Light Breaks Shooting for Christmas
Tuesday, December 16th, 2008FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – FORT MYERS, FL – DECEMBER 15, 2008 -
Starlight Productions wraps their first phase of shooting the Sci-Fi Thriller, “Light,” this week, completing two months of principal photography, before going on Christmas break.
“Light” is set in the not too distant future and centers around a Lucas, boy born with hypopigmentation (Oculocutaneous albinism) who discovers that along with his rare appearance, his birth also granted him developing “super powers” that aid him and his genius best friend, Jake in navigating the often troubled waters of high school. Unfortunately, as with many gifts, there are those who desire to explot Lucas’ unique situation for their own nefarious ends. Caught in the middle is Jake & Lucas’ science teacher, Mr. Gunder, a former defense contractor, who has a unique understanding of the value of Lucas’ powers.
“Light” is written and directed by local actor-writer Marty Wisher and stars Christian Kilian, Danny Rawley, Keegan Shayne and long-time character actor Rick Michaels. In creating the film, Starlight Productions is committed to utilizing wholly local talent, from the actors and actresses, all the way through Director of Photography, post-production, special effects and crew. Many of the talent pool was drawn from the local chapter of United Film & Television Artists (UFTA)
The work on “Light” has also caught national attention, due to a growing problem of mistreatment of people with hypopigmentation in Third World countries.
Starlight Productions is a production company that provides live and staged entertainment, celebrity impersonators, science fiction characters, as well as delivering full-service film and video production services, from scripting to shooting, editing, and post-production.
UFTA is a not-for-profit incorporated trade association, who provides information, support, assistance, and education to artists and other production crafts personnel, associated with the creation and production of film, television, video, broadcast, recording, and theater products in the State of Florida.
Shooting on “Light” will resume in January.

Hitting Mr. Tim's House
Monday, December 15th, 2008
Shooting the Shooter
More shooting for Light yesterday. We spent about 10 hours, in and about Mr. Tim’s house. Excellent work, as usual, from our veteran teens, Christian Kilian & Danny Rawley, and Rick Michaels proved why he got so much work over in Miami. Great work also from the indomitable Michael Bey (NO, not THAT Michael Bay), his son, Steven Ruiz-Bey, UFTA member Rob Beauchesne & Keegan Shayne. We accomplished quite a bit. We’re back the first week of the new year.
