Monday, July 11th, 2011

The time has finally come! We are proud to announce that Light will be coming to a film screen in Fort Myers, on Monday, August 8, 2011.

This past week, Starlight Productions was contacted by Eric Raddatz of the Fort Myers Film Festival about bringing “Light” to the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center as part of the Film Festival’s popular Summer Intellectualization Mondays.

Mark your calendars for Monday, August 8, 2011, at 6:30pm. Writer/Director Marty Wisher will be joined by Cinematographer & Special Effects Guru Tim Gunderman, along with the movie’s stars: Danny Rawley, Christian Kilian, Mitch Jacobs, and Keegan Shayne, as well as most of the cast at this special premiere.

Host Eric Raddatz will introduce the film and moderate the Q&A following the presentation. For more details, check out the invite on Facebook.  We look forward to seeing you on the red carpet!

Grandpa Henry & Gordo

Starlight Productions was hopping this week!

Things kicked off on Friday, December 4th, as Starlight Productions’ Paul Rose Jr. and John Nicolette performed two back to back Compassionate Christmas FamJam shows as Grandpa Henry and Gordo at Cape Christian Fellowship.

2009 Holiday Cast

Then, on Thursday, December 10th, Jenny Sonneman, Caleb Williams and John Nicolette joined Paul A. Rose Jr, Teresa Cobb & Marty Wisher “on stage” as we entertained potential new residents at Gulf Coast Village with “A Holiday Recipe for Murder,” written by Marty Wisher.

On Friday, December 11th, we spent a few hours celebrating in Perkins at the United Film & Television Artist (UFTA)’s annual Christmas Party, where Starlight Productions’ own Paul Rose Jr. was elected as President of the UFTA organization for the upcoming year.  Paul plans to work with the Board to make UFTA an even stronger, more relevant organization for members associated with the Television and Film Arts.

On Saturday, December 12th, Paul Rose Jr. and John Nicolette returned to Cape Christian Fellowship, reprising their FamJam roles and performing four shows back to back at Cape Christian Fellowship that were each followed by food and gifts for needy families and kids – one show was just for special needs kids in Cape Coral.

Bo Peep Entertains

And finally, Saturday evening, the cast of “Holiday Recipe for Murder” was reassembled to perform at a private Christmas party for some of Cape Coral’s prominent citizens.

It's Christmas Time!

Friday, December 4th, 2009

It’s that time of year and Starlight Productions still has some dates open for you to book our actors in the laugh-out-loud hilarious Christmas show – “A Holiday Recipe for Murder”

The North Pole is being wiped out by a mysterious flu created by evil mastermind Claude Von Streudel.  As Santa’s top elf Elvin works on a cure to save them, Mrs. Claus depends upon replacements sent from the North Star employment agency to save Christmas and stop Von Streudel’s plan to take over the holiday and the world.

The fun-filled show features the kookiest collection of oddball characters thrust into a Christmas setting and forced to save Christmas and solve a murder.  Don’t miss these holiday hijinks at their funniest!

Honk Along With Me

Tim Ullio & Caleb Williams

Tim Ullio & Caleb Williams

Two of the teenage actors we worked with on the film Light appeared this past weekend on their high school stage.  The boys appeared in Honk, a musical based on the story of the Ugly Duckling, at North Fort Myers High School Center for Media & Arts.  Caleb Williams, who also starred as Jedi-in-training Grill in Grill’s War, played the father of the unfortunate duckling, Drake, and Tim Ullio, one of our teen bad guys from Light was in just about every scene as part of the chorus.  The musical was very funny and the kids did an awesome job of singing a variety of musical numbers.  A lot of talent for a high school.  We can’t wait to see what they do next!

More School Photos

We present the remainder of the photos taken while shooting at Oasis Middle & High School.

2 Days, 20 Actors & 1 School

Tuesday, November 25th, 2008

It was a long weekend, but worth it.  In just two days, we shot all of the school scenes, including a few we hadn’t planned on.  No access to a school bus, and limited time outside caused some hiccups, but really, everything went a lot smoother than it could have.  We also had the benefit of kids who are really talented and behaved at a very professional level, bringing things to the scenes that we weren’t expecting, but immediately integrated.  Even the extras were more professional than some adult actors we’ve worked with.  A special thanks to The Cape Coral Charter Schools, particularly Oasis Middle School, and the growing Oasis High School that has now lent its name to our fictional high school.  Please take a moment to check out all the great shots we got (some thanks to Sue Rawley)…

More Photos to come!
