Upcoming Class: Auditioning for Success
Monday, April 19th, 2010Our next 8 week session begins June 5th – July 31st (no classes July 3rd)
Class time : 11:00am -2:00pm, including a 1/2 hour break (bring a packed lunch)
The class is a comprehensive study for still camera, stage, film/TV, portfolio set up and auditioning material, and character development. Students will learn from professionals in the industry, including guest photographers, filmographers, actors, and models, offering tips as well as actual hands-on experience for each student.
There is a flat fee for the 8 week session. Students will have the opportunity to purchase some optional value added content (headshots, demo reel, etc.) for additional cost throughout the length of the course.
Location: To be determined based on class size. We will notify students 2 weeks prior to beginning of classes.

Busy Holiday Week

Grandpa Henry & Gordo
Starlight Productions was hopping this week!
Things kicked off on Friday, December 4th, as Starlight Productions’ Paul Rose Jr. and John Nicolette performed two back to back Compassionate Christmas FamJam shows as Grandpa Henry and Gordo at Cape Christian Fellowship.
2009 Holiday Cast
Then, on Thursday, December 10th, Jenny Sonneman, Caleb Williams and John Nicolette joined Paul A. Rose Jr, Teresa Cobb & Marty Wisher “on stage” as we entertained potential new residents at Gulf Coast Village with “A Holiday Recipe for Murder,” written by Marty Wisher.
On Friday, December 11th, we spent a few hours celebrating in Perkins at the United Film & Television Artist (UFTA)’s annual Christmas Party, where Starlight Productions’ own Paul Rose Jr. was elected as President of the UFTA organization for the upcoming year. Paul plans to work with the Board to make UFTA an even stronger, more relevant organization for members associated with the Television and Film Arts.
On Saturday, December 12th, Paul Rose Jr. and John Nicolette returned to Cape Christian Fellowship, reprising their FamJam roles and performing four shows back to back at Cape Christian Fellowship that were each followed by food and gifts for needy families and kids – one show was just for special needs kids in Cape Coral.

And finally, Saturday evening, the cast of “Holiday Recipe for Murder” was reassembled to perform at a private Christmas party for some of Cape Coral’s prominent citizens.

Starlight Productions Helps With Star Wars Theme

On March 28, Starlight Productions’ Marty Wisher headed down to Naples to assist Michael Bey and MB3 Productions with a Star Wars themed birthday party at King Richards Family Fun Park.
Marty transformed into the Twi-Lek Dark Jedi, Keina, from Ryloth. Michael Bey himself was there, along with his son Stephen, as a Jedi Master and his padawan apprentice. The group was topped off with Chaz, a dead-ringer for the animated Mace Windu.

Acting Classes Open
Thursday, March 26th, 2009Starlight Production’s Marty Wisher will be teaching an 8-week Acting & Improv course at the OssLin Agency in Fort Myers. This is an excellent class for beginning and moderately experienced actors, especially students who are interested in pursuing a career in acting, on stage or screen. Clubhouse Murder Coming

Fresh on the heels of their success at the Cape Movie Magic Event, Starlight Productions returns to the Santa Barbara Clubhouse Sports Grill & Bar for another fun evening of interactive humorous murder mystery.
On March 21, 2009, Starlight Productions presents their original humorous murder mystery show, “The Clubhouse Murder,” for the patrons of the Santa Barbara Clubhouse.
How far would you go to get what you want? For money, fame and love, they’ll cheat, lie and manipulate. If the clubhouse manager holds the keys to make any of their dreams come true, which one of our skillful suspects is willing to risk it all to get what they want? As the twists and turns mix with laughter and surprises, can you figure out whodunit before another unwitting accomplice is done in?

Casting Call – First Auditions
Friday, August 22nd, 2008Starlight Studios will be doing their first casting call for the film “Light” for the younger roles, Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at 6pm.
Interested actors and actresses should stop by Family of God church at 1315 Viscaya Parkway, Cape Coral, FL. Please arrive early to fill out audition forms. No students under 18 will be auditioned without parental approval.
Looking primarily for teens, age 14 to 16. Auditions for older roles will be held at a later date.

Young Actors needed for Sci-Fi Film
Monday, August 18th, 2008StarLight Productions is currently casting for an upcoming Science Fiction film and is looking for young student-age actors (middle school to teen) as well as young adults (20-30) and a few of older roles.
This gig is not a paid job. All actors appearing on screen will recieve a copy of the finished product.
