No Such Thing As Coincidence

Friday, October 10th, 2008

Very full week.

The Chamber of Commerce event was so much fun and well received. The gang was awesome, of course.

Meanwhile, Light is under way.  Most of the cast has been selected.  One of the main character’s rooms has been created (much thanks to Paul & Teresa for making that happen).

Balancing everyone is going to be a challenge.  Especially since one of the leads is constantly booked on out of town gigs.  But what’s life without challenge.

The main character was just interviewed and had the opportunity to promote Starlight and our movie Light. It seems there is a great crisis going on in the albinism community.  Angie, Christian’s mom, contacted me right after the interview to update me on everything.

I’m trying to reach the journalist and photographer so we can assist each other.  Who knew that a month ago as we cast our lead (a teenage albino) that he would be called on and interviewed and that at the time when they need the attention we just happen to be filming Light.  Too much to be a coincidence.

Starlight’s very own Marty Wisher was on hand for last weekends’ Downtown Art Walk in Fort Myers, as none other than the iconic Marilyn Monroe.
We’d like to thank the Fort Myers News-PressGulf Coasting Live for not only covering the event, but making sure our girl was a part of the memories.  Check out their photo gallery here.
Happenings Magazine also snapped some shots – you can see them here.

Marilyn Struts the Art Walk

Saturday, October 4th, 2008

What a fun day.  First was hanging a few of my art pieces in a gallery for tonight’s event.  Then came the big event, Marilyn Monroe tours the Art Walk.  I had a white stretch limo, 2 bodyguards, and, of course, my press assistant.

Murder Is Fun!

Happy October! September ended fabulously.  We premiered “A Death in the Family” at the EBC (European Business Council).  It was delightfully received.  And several companies came up to us afterwards about booking us in the future.  Fabulous!

I was so proud of Kaley-Ann.  She was prepared, professional, and looked awesome.  The whole cast was nervous.  But we were spot on!  Can’t wait for our next event.
